Shipping Policy – Service Restrictions

There are restrictions to certain services outlined below:

  1. Battery fitting service

1.1 This service is priced at £8.33 exc. VAT.

1.2 This service covers most vehicles provided the battery is easily accessible, i.e. Under the car bonnet.

1.3 Service provided in our workshop only.

1.4 If not, there will be a surcharge of £20.83 exc. VAT.

1.4 This service does not cover motorcycles or boats.

  1. Refrigeration disposal service

2.1 A fee of £83.33 exc. VAT will be charged for the safe disposal of your old refrigerator.

  1. Delivery to UK Mainland customers

3.1 This service applies to the following postcodes and is charged at the appropriate rate.   1. Delivery to Northern Ireland

4.1 In accordance with the UK Internal Market Scheme, all deliveries to Northern Ireland must be dispatched with a completed Declaration Form by the recipient, confirming whether the goods are to remain within the United Kingdom and are therefore “Not at Risk”.   1. Next working day delivery

5.1 We must receive your order before 2:30pm to qualify for next working day delivery.

5.2 This service depends on stock and courier availability.

5.3 This service only applies to Mainland UK addresses with the following postcodes.   1. Palletised Delivery.

6.1. Please be advised that any individual item that falls over a total volumetric weight of 30kg will require a palletised delivery method.  This will need to be purchased at the checkout process.  Please be aware that any items that require palletised delivery but have not been purchased with palletised delivery will be unable to be shipped until delivery has been purchased.

  1. Worldwide Delivery

7.1 Worldwide delivery is available on a quotation basis.

  1. Trade Order Processing

8.1 All orders placed will be confirmed as accepted via an Order Confirmation email.

8.2 All confirmed orders have a grace period of 24 hours from submission of the Order Confirmation. No charges will be raised if the order is received in this time.

8.3 Any cancellation requested outside of the 24-hour grace period will be liable for a restocking fee of 10% of the order value, along with the value of any stock recovery costs if the goods have been dispatched.

8.4 Where additional costs are raised due to exporting goods from the UK, please note that these costs will be passed to yourself as the customer at point of delivery. Any additional costs that are raised after the goods have been dispatched, such as import fees generated after the goods have arrived in a country outside of the UK, are the responsibility of the customer. Batteries and Solar Ltd take no responsibility for any import/export fees generated on an order after the goods have been dispatched.

Credit Facilities and Debt Management

To ensure a transparent credit facilities management process, please find the below outline of how our credit facilities are allocated to Trade Customers, along with our Debt Management process.

  1. Credit Facilities Provision

1.1 All Trade Customers can apply for Credit Facilities with Batteries & Solar Ltd. These credit facilities are provided and managed by Batteries & Solar Ltd.

1.2 Any company applying for Credit Facilities will be subject to a credit check via Creditsafe. The report generated by Creditsafe will be reviewed by our directors who will then grant credit facilities based on the report recommendations. Any credit facility provision is at the sole discretion of the Batteries & Solar Ltd Directorship, and we withhold the right to revoke these facilities at any time.

1.3 All credit is personally liable against the relevant authority within the company applying for the account and not the limited company.

1.3 Upon successfully being granted Credit Facilities, your account will be allocated the agreed credit limit, allowing you to purchase goods on credit. Credit Accounts are on a default payment schedule of 30 days End of Month.

  1. Debt Management and Debt Resolution.

2.1 Trade Accounts with Credit Facilities are on a default payment schedule of 30 days End of Month, unless otherwise agreed or stated. All Trade Accounts without Credit Facilities are on a pay as you go payment schedule.

2.2 If your account falls outside of these terms, the account will be deemed as overdue. Upon falling overdue our Accounts Department will issue a statement and email advising of the overdue status. You will have seven (7) days to clear the overdue balance before this process escalates. During this time, we ask that you contact us to arrange payment or if you are facing financial difficulty, we can look to arrange a repayment schedule.

2.3 After your account has been overdue for more than seven (7) days, you will receive a further Statement and Final Warning Letter; your account at this stage will also be placed on hold. After more than fourteen (14) days overdue, you will receive an Advisement of Legal Action letter. After more than twenty-one (21) days overdue, your account will be passed over to our Debt Collections team who will then attempt to contact you to discuss further actions.

2.4 Please be aware that all debt collection, court costs or legal advisory costs associated with the recovery of unpaid monies will be charged to you as the customer.

  1. Payment and Payment Methods

3.1 While we make every effort to ensure as many payment methods as possible, please be aware that from January 1st, 2024, we will no longer be accepting payment by Cheque.

  1. Removal of Credit Facilities

4.1 By the Customer: If you no longer require your credit facility, you can remove this service at any time by clearing any used credit, and then requesting the removal in writing to accounts@batsol.co.uk.

4.2 Any account that falls into unpaid arrears for 3 months in a row, or receives legal action from our debt collection team, will be advised in writing that the credit facility has been revoked from their account. You may reapply at any time after the arrears on the account have been cleared.

Please complete either the printable returns form or the online returns form below. Please remember to fill in all the details on the returns form.

Package your item/items including all original packaging,
accessories and manuals etc. If you have chosen to complete the printable returns form, please include this with your returned goods.

Send your item/s back to us at Batteries & Solar Ltd, 61 St Modwen Rd, Marsh Mills, Plymouth, Devon, PL6 8LH.

Once we recieve your item/s back we will begin to process a refund/exchange dependant on what you selected on the returns form.

Returns Terms & Conditions

Our returns policy lasts 28 days. If 28 days have gone by
since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in
the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original
packaging.

You will be responsible for paying the shipping costs for
returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of
purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are
granted: (if applicable)

To return your product, you should mail your product to:

Batteries & Solar Ltd, 61 St. Modwen Road, Plymouth,
Devon, PL6 8LH, United Kingdom.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you
an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also
notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and
a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method
of payment, within 5 working days.

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank
account again. Then contact your card issuer, it may take some time before your
refund is officially processed. There is often some delay whilst your refund is
processed.

If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received
your refund, please contact us at sales@batteriesandsolar.co.uk.

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately
sale items cannot be refunded.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your
exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are shipping an item over £75, you should consider
using a trackable shipping service or purchasing delivery insurance. We don’t
guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

  • We want to ensure that you have all the information on potential product faults before starting a returns process. We are happy to offer free testing advice over the phone to ensure the fault is not due to installation.
  • All returned items will be tested in full by our team. Any returned products that are faulty and in warranty will be replaced free of charge and any return postage costs will be reimbursed.
  • Any returned items that have been tested and are in warranty but have found to not be faulty will incur a testing fee and the item will be returned at postage cost.
